About The Name

The name Matthan is in the Bible in the genealogy of Christ.  When Tim was in youth group, the youth group performed the genealogy of Christ to the Twelve Days of Christmas, and his segment included the name "Matthan".  When we were thinking of names, Tim said he had always liked that name and I was hooked.  I insisted on Timothy as the middle name.  Matthan is a derivative of Matthew and means "gift".  Timothy means "one that honors God".  So together, his name means "a gift that honors God".
